Connecting to the Earth [Meditation for chronic illness folks #1]
In this 15 minute meditation we connect to Earth and fill up on compassion and empathy
Hi and welcome to my new meditation series for chronic illness folks and our allies! I’m so excited to share this with you all.
As a former yoga and meditation teacher I’ve been dreaming about teaching yoga and meditation again, but for some odd reason didn’t think to record meditations for you here. I was so hung up on not being physically able to teach live that I didn’t think to do it here.

I want to try and send out a meditation twice a month (every second Friday). I don’t feel like I’m using too much brain bandwidth doing them, but I will have to test it out first.
Today’s meditation is about connecting to Earth and filling ourselves up with compassion and empathy. I am of the belief that compassion is an antidote to trauma — a soothing balm for an exhausted soul.
Enjoy! And let me know how it went in the comments below.
How did it go?
How did you find this meditation?
Did the tree have a message for you (totally fine if it didn’t)? If so, anything you want to share?
Was it easy or hard to take in the energy of compassion?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
Lovely words used during the meditation thank you. It is so affirming to hear that we don’t need a straight back or certain posture that is challenging to do when chronically ill. I did struggle with the music due to being sensitive to noise. This is becoming better as I heal but still problematic so tend to meditate in silence.
I’ve done this one a number of times, this time the tree wrapped it’s roots around me before the moss blanket came in and whispered you are safe. So so good. I love these ones. I can’t seem to find all the mediations I would love to try them all.
