A higher heart [Meditation for chronic illness folks #2]
In this 18 minute meditation we create a higher heart that connects to an endless source of love and compassion.
Hi and welcome to my new meditation series for chronic illness folks and our allies!
This is the second meditation in this series and today we are going to create a higher heart that connects us to an endless source of love and compassion. Our ‘old’, weary hearts can catch a break and simply receive.
There are two versions, one with and one without music. Some people are sensitive to music while others need music.
Also, it is completely up to you whether you want to listen to the meditation with your eyes closed or not. There are no rules here. Listening with your eyes closed will give you a more intense experience, but sometimes intensity is not what’s best for our brains and bodies. I once went through a period where closing my eyes would start a technicolour disco inside my mind and so I began listening to meditations with my eyes open. I discovered that I got a lot from the meditation even with my eyes open.
Enjoy! And let me know how it went in the comments below.

Without music (voice begins at 0.21):
How did it go?
How did you find this meditation?
Was it easy or hard to take in the energy of love?

Thank you for this beautiful meditation, your welcome is so freeing and makes me feel accepted and included. Which is a great place to start. There is such to meditate on that I’m already planning my next session with this meditation. This holding/ being filled with love is wonderful gentle and healing. I also have m.e. And fibromyalgia too. It’s lovely to find others who get this life too.
It was good. However, it proved to me yet again I don’t have the brain to meditate. Half way through I declared ‘I am a Time Lord’ and began replaying Dr Who episodes in my head. I really struggled to stay on track. My mind just hops around all the time, making new connections to any input all the time.
