I’m not positive I’ve separated my worth and productivity, maybe not completely. I’d love to be more productive. Thanks for this post!

Maybe it’s not 100% possible?

I'll look forward to your album release, Madelleine.

You've done an amazing job at realising your dream. My first instinct is to say, your music is a beautiful expression/realisation of yourself, that you've made happen. It stands alone in its birth as an artistic creation, in my humble opinion...value judgments and labels aside.

When I read your struggle with the capitalist societal norms and inner work, I hear you and can imagine some of the separation work you're doing.

In this article and previous ones, I've picked up on pieces of your 'mantra', how you define your work satisfaction, fulfilment and even connection with others using the timer. May I offer that, affirming/articulating your mantra and definitions in a personal definition like you do in your articles is a powerful proactive re-definition of 'able-ist productivity' I've redefined my version of caregiving productivity a few times.

Feel free to ignore this thought - tired brain over here!

Thank you so much Victoria! And yea, redefining productivity is a big part of the work.

100% working on this exact issue—separating Capitalist ideals of productivity and laziness from my understanding of my intrinsic worth. Human BEING. Not Human DOING. My presence, love, and spirit are what bring joy and meaning into my life. And in fact they are a damned gift to other people too.
