Things they are a-changing
I’m making one teeny change to this newsletter, here’s what you can expect
Hi there, how is everything?
Some of my main goals with this newsletter is to be creative, get people to connect emotionally with the experience of being chronically ill and disabled and to build a community of like-minded people.
I want to be as authentic as possible and show you and other people what this bed-based life is really like.
I’ve recently gotten some new epinaphies about pacing — and it involves pacing my thoughts. I’ve had to dig deep into my old yoga and meditation toolbox and find discipline-muscles I have never had to engage before now in order to do this. With this new pacing strategy (and with my brain a bit more awake) I think I am able to write a blog post every second week (I might have to take breaks here and there, but I’ll let you know).
But I want to connect more with you. I’ve been wanting to find a way to connect more often and in a way that is doable, authentic and doesn’t leave me ill and burnt out. I recently had a great talk with
and she gave me a great idea: to give you three sentences of audio and written thoughts once every second week.See, living with limitations means we have to keep it short sometimes.
And in that way I get to connect with you every week.
I’ll ‘see’ you next week with my first 3 (audio and written) thoughts.
Warmest wishes,
Madelleine

I love this - finding ways that truly work for us ❤️🙌🏻
This is a wonderful idea Madelleine! I’m looking forward to these shorts already.
And learning to pace ourselves is helpful even for those with a little more energy to use too. It is still finite.
