Going to practice this for a little while longer.

What was interesting is that I wanted to let go of the tension in the side of my head (my brain has been inflamed a few days) but because of the connection to breathing into my hips there was a slight energetic twinge in my left groin area - my intuition is telling me I’m holding on to it, holding on to what is causing the tension.

What i uncovered from my subconscious other day (by tuning in to my early morning thoughts as a new practice) is the story that’s been created on the back of my brain being inflamed. “I feel shit. I feel shit. I feel shit.”

Physically, I felt well in my body on Monday, I didn’t feel shit at all.

It was my brain that was inflamed. Now it’s true, I am on the slippery slope to starting to feel shit.

I’m researching about brain health atm - hence the new practice and a deeper understanding of all that I’ve already been doing that contributes to improved brain health.

So many insights coming through this week. Thanks as always, for being part of the ever-unfolding journey 💜✨

Aah yes that brain can cause so much havoc and discomfort. What are you doing to improve your brain health? Just curious.

I’m reading the book Sweet Spot for Brain Health by Dr Sui Wong who’s also guesting on my podcast, Your Migraine Story Matters next month.

I’m finding the research as part of improving brain health helpful ; understanding how the the brain, blood sugars, cells, insulin etc work (all way over my head but it’s making me realise it needs to be my priority) and what we can do to the support that.

It’s all the usual; diet, exercise, stress management. But it goes into fasting - which I already do as part of an intuitive, body led approach (and sharing the difference between that and skipping meals which I appreciate).

With it being a deeper dive though it’s helping me make sense of all the practices I have already adopted as part of my day to day life; breathwork, meditation, mindfulness, concious food choices, balance, regulation, journalling, movement, research, etc. cementing how important it is and why I’m making space for it.

I’m at 33% increased risk of dementia so I’m looking ahead to that as a possibility asking myself the question:

“What can I do to reduce the risk of this happening to me?”

standing firm in my belief that I can prevent that with understanding, Knowledge and taking inspired action with what it is I want now.

Meanwhile, I’m expecting to see continued improvements in my health now with a deeper level of insight and understanding. Unearthing that story this week that my inflamed brain has created “I feel shit. I feel shit. I feel shit.” Feels like a big leap forward this week🙏
